Reflecting both tiny and momentous shifts in time, place and history, Andy Abbott, James Brown & Rose Butler, Sohail Khan and Sarah Spanton present performance, installation, moving image and digital works, seen for the first time in Time and Tidal Flow. The weekend also presents projects developed by emerging artists on NWY’s mentoring scheme, Live Connections; Jo Ashbridge, Claire Blundell Jones, Hannah Bolland.

The programme comprises 7 works exploring and commenting on change; social change, historical change, environmental changes, changes in emotional states and change as a pure physical process.

I think events like this not only stimulate your mind- get your creative juices flowing, but can also be great fun. Happening across random acts and taking part in installations can really make for a fun and memorable day. When each weekend is the same, life can become quite mind-numbing and monochrome. The artists role in injecting something a little extraordinary, mind boggling, thought provoking into our lives I see as an extremely important one.

Also, if you haven't been to Hull before, this is a great reason to visit the city and see what it has to offer. At least you have the guarantee that it won't just be a normal day out.

Belated applause to Sohail for the White Man's Ghost. That ended without any applause as he usher'd (shining torchlight onto my visage)the audience from the auditorium.

The artist gave this photographer some work to do and I only hope the prints will do T'Honours.

Thanks to all involved that have no mention here. More! MORE!
